His whiskey, released at 6 years, is based on sophisticated hardwood malt toasting. The whiskey is aged in three different barrel woods: port casks plus American and French oak. The malt flavors are soft yet distinctive. On the palate, St. George is smooth, round, tasty and unusually complex.
Jorg's experiments with malt whiskey convinced him to use non-peated malt, to capture the best flavors of the basic ingredients, something he insists on when working with fruit. His hallmark - there's no aggressive alcoholic characteristic, no "bite".
